About this quiz
The Vietnam War lasted three decades if you count the French phase. It changed the way Americans thought about their country's power, and it ended with Vietnam unified under the communist government in Hanoi. The quiz follows its turning points: Ho Chi Minh's independence speech, the French defeat at Dien Bien Phu, the Gulf of Tonkin, the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the Tet Offensive and the fall of Saigon.
Other questions cover what the Vietnamese call the war, the boxer who refused the draft, a photograph from the last days of Saigon and the memorial in Washington that lists the American dead.
