About this quiz
Definitions of the Balkans vary. Slovenia and Romania are sometimes left out, and Turkey has a small European corner, East Thrace, which this quiz leaves out. The eleven countries here are the ones most lists agree on. They include Kosovo, whose independence Serbia does not recognize.
Most people get Greece and Romania right. The hard part is the western Balkans, where several small countries share borders that are hard to tell apart on a map.
