About this quiz
On February 28, 2026, American and Israeli strikes on Iran opened the first direct war between the United States and Iran. The quiz follows what came next: a new Supreme Leader chosen while the bombs fell, Iran's missile and drone campaign, the closing of the Strait of Hormuz, the shock to the world's oil supply, and ceasefires that did not last.
The war is still going. The quiz reflects events up to September 2026 and sticks to facts that should still hold as the war goes on. If you follow the news, the first few questions will come easily. The later ones ask how the war actually works, from the economics of shipping to Iran's nuclear program.
