About this quiz
Geopolitics is the study of how geography shapes power: why rivers start quarrels, why ports decide trade routes, and why some small countries matter far more than their size suggests. The quiz covers ten famous cases, from the age of empires to the rivalries of today.
It is meant as an introduction. Each question starts from something you may have heard of and asks why it matters. The explanations add the part of the story that the headlines usually leave out.
